New Building Under Construction Nearby!

You won't need to drive far from our current location on Debbie Lane to see us at our new building under construction! After 10 years making Debbie Lane our "home" for Say Yes to the Dress moments and memories, we reached a crossroads and made a big decision to merge the two locations while under construction.   How can we keep up with new generations and stay on the cutting edge for our two stores?   Our current lease at 1205 E Debbie Lane ended at the New Year of 2018.  We secured an awesome new property for our bridal business to focus more on customer experience, convenience and online shopping! Many of you have seen Ava's Bridal in Fort Worth grow this past year in our new building on Camp Bowie.  The space on Camp Bowie is nearly 3 times the square footage of our previous space.  This past year in our new building has been a dream come true.  We are so thankful for the response received from past, present and future customers and have grown our onl

A Beautiful Soul or Two ♡

Words are never enough to capture the essence of a beautiful soul!  We/I first fell in love with Robyn in 2015 when she was planning her daughter Brittany's wedding day. Brittany fell in love with a blush pink fit and flare beaded Maggie Sottero Wedding gown at Ava's Bridal in Fort Worth.    Brittany, a Pediatric Nurse and recent graduate from Texas A&M,   was marrying the love of her life Tillman in May of 2016. Each of our staff fought over who would help Brittany Arrott into her dress.  She was so magnetic and interesting that we never wanted our time with Brittany to end.  Brittany was amazingly beautiful on the outside (she was the portrait of health and wellness & an obvious athlete by her physical appearance) but her beauty from within shined even more brilliant. Brittany was fighting a rare brain cancer with dignity and poise.  I've never seen someone so unwell be so strong.  Robyn (Brittany's Mom) managed all of Brittany's appoint

Happy Fathers Day!

Wishing all the Fathers an awesome Dad's Day!   We appreciate all the Dad's who attend appointments in store and who are in our thoughts and conversations in the shops.  Here is the dad of our Ava and Classy Team... hand print painting, enjoying Mexican favs, splashpad tan lines and other family shenanigans! Zach keeps our bridal company on track, legally organized, counts the beans and builds cool stuff for our brides wedding day decor!  Zach's talents are endless.  🛠  Dad's are the Best! Whether you hold your dad in your heart or with hugs, What is one of your fav moments with your dad? One of mine was our Father Daughter Dance on my wedding day!  We were shamefully nervous! 😆 Lol  We joked the whole way thru the song.  He never wore tuxedos but looked so happy, proud of me and handsome.  😍  He had a lot of love for his family, his country and Dr. Pepper. 😉 Happy Father's Day! ♡, Sue

What are we up to in the Alterations Department?

Our gorgeous brides have us busy busy busy this time of year pumping out amazing designs and creativity in the Alterations Department! Thank goodness for our team of professional tailors who each have their background and specialty.  LOVE working with brides who push our creativity to the max with the requests you ladies are sending our way. No two brides are EVER alike at Ava's Bridal Couture and Classy Concepts Bridal Boutique ! That's what makes this part of our job so exciting and rewarding. One of the biggest requests we are seeing is sleeves.  Not just full length sleeves, but all sorts of styles that are creative and fun to transform a strapless dress into a masterpiece. One of the biggest questions we get asked in store is "When should I begin my alterations?" If you are a plan ahead gal like me, start them when you have reached your goal weight and do not plan to fluctuate -OR- 3 months before your need by date (which ever comes first).

Beat Leukemia Ball - Omni Hotel Fort Worth

Very special night gettin' fancy with good friends and family!  The Beat Leukemia Ball is an event that raises money for leukemia research through Leukemia Texas, an organization that raises funds to support families who have been impacted by leukemia.  Honored to enjoy an elegant evening at the table of Mr and Mrs Heath.    One of the coolest parts of the program was the patient speaker, Katie.  She is 13 years old and has battled her 2nd round with leukemia .  Leukemia Texas was there for financial and emotional support when She began her treatment.  She completed a bone marrow transplant, but soon after the cancer was back.  The 2nd diagnosis being even harder than the first, Katie's parents decided to try a new type of treatment since the transplant was unsuccessful the first time.  Katie gave positive words along side her family - younger brother Maverick, Dad and Mom had special words to say.   How would she describe herself in one word?  "Optimistic".  That

Happy Mother's Day Wifey's!

One of the oh so many things I love about bridal shop happenings... the meaningful relationships. We meet a bride, she buys her wedding dress... the end, right? I sure hope not! Over the past 12 years in business, I have met some of the most amazing men and women who were once customers at some point in time.  They definitely bought more than "just a dress" or "just a service".  We make so many memories together, form a relationship and that relationship is so special!  No two customers are ever alike. You would think after 12 years it would get old.  Would it be the same day after day?  Year after year?  Same old stories, same old song and dance? Thankfully for me, it doesn't! Today's blog, I am thinking of all of our past brides who became a wifey after saying "I Do".  Perhaps the journey as a wife means you want to become a mom. Maybe you have decided you want a family with kiddos...  Maybe you are marrying into a family with children... Maybe y

Cristen: Feature Bride | Ava's Bridal Couture

A big, open Texas pasture, home-cooked meal, and lots of family and friends were just some of the details in Cristen and Garrett’s wedding. They married on September 30, 2017 in an outdoor ceremony on family land in the DFW area. We loved helping Cristen find the dress of her dreams to match her rustic-chic wedding. THE DRESS First time was a charm for this sweet bride. We were her first stop that day. She had other appointments scheduled, but said, “The second I walked into the store I knew I was going to find my dress here,”. She discussed her wants and needs with our consultant. Being open to all styles in ivory, a variety of gorgeous gowns were selected for her. Cristen said, “She made the whole process so easy and pleasant for us! She knew what I wanted even when I didn’t know myself.” With her mother and grandmother by her side, she sure did find the perfect gown. It ended up being the very first one selected by her mother, which made it even more special.
