Lisa + Brandon's Love Story

Brandon and Lisa Turner were married this year.  Our staff had the BEST time getting to know her, her adorable Mom, and her sweet friends too!  I hope Lisa's love story will give inspiration to other brides planning their day too.  Lisa and Brandon's love story began when they met online through eHarmony.  Their wedding was an indoor ceremoney in the small banquet room at the Las Colinas Country Club.  "Our reception followed immediately in the grand ballroom of the Las Colinas Country Club.  It was a beautiful venue with an amazing view of Dallas and the golf course."
As the wedding planning came together, Lisa and Brandon realized that planning a wedding where the majority of your guests will be flying in from out of state was fairly stressful, but they got through it together.  "I think the most fun we had was doing the engagement photos and when I did my bridal portraits.  I also had a hard time finding a dress - tried on millions (so it seems) but when I finally put THE dress on, it felt very real for the first time and it was SO exciting!"
Many brides out there can relate to Lisa's dress shopping experience, but we are SO happy she found the perfect dress to marry Brandon in at Classy Concepts Bridal Boutique.  "Sue was really there for us in a time of need/desperation.  I bought a dress online and though it came just as we ordered, I just didn't have the feeling in it.  My grandfather passed away 1 month before the wedding and we went back to Classy Concepts.  Sue squeezed us in and we were able to find THE dress.  It fit like a glove and it put me back in the spirit [of the wedding] for sure!"

Lisa learned during her wedding planning that the best advice she can give a new bride is to create a wedding day timeline for your vendors and bridal party.  It will ensure you are able to spend enough time on each part of your day.  "Don't be afraid to be firm on your timeline.  My coordinator got off track and it threw the rest of our evening off."

Their first dance was a song was "Lucky" by Jason Mraz and Colbie Caliait.  After getting to know Lisa during her fittings and her feelings for Brandon, we know this song was truly fitting of the adoration they have for one another!

After the wedding day, the two newlyweds capped of their "wedding day high" with an Alaskan cruise honeymoon! "We spent 2 days in Seattle and then set sail.  It was stunning and the weather was amazing.  We enjoyed the cooler weather and all the adventures we went on.  I can't say that we relaxed much on our honeymoon, but we definitely experienced once in a lifetime opportunities!" As many of our newlyweds, life after the wedding seems so long ago after months of planning, but Brandon and Lisa have finally settled into their first home they purchased 2 months before the wedding day.  Today, they finally have time to decorate and unpack things to make their house a home.  "We are fostering a super sweet doggy right now, so that puts us at 3 furr babies total until we find our foster a forever home.  Eventually we hope to have little ones running around here too! :)"   One of the MANY things we appreciate about Lisa is how genuine and open she is to others.  She opened her heart to our staff and in turn formed a friendship that gave us memories to last forever.  Lisa, you and your Mom have really made a sweet impression on me and I wish you, your marriage and your family all of life's best!  We can't wait to see little Brandon's and Lisa's running around the bridal salon!  We need a flower girl or ring bearer "Turner" real soon! No pressure :)
God Bless this Marriage today and always!
Love, Sue and the Ladies of Classy Concepts Bridal Boutique

Allegra: Feature Bride | Ava's Bridal Couture

A beautiful Catholic wedding with traditional Mexican flair best describes Allegra and Cesar’s wedding day. They said, “I Do” on May 28, 2016, and will forever cherish the memories made with their family and friends. Allegra had a vision for her wedding day, and it was our job to help her find a gown that would complement every other detail.  THE DRESS  After an unsuccessful bridal appointment at another shop, Allegra found herself at Ava’s. Feeling a bit discouraged, she explained her wants and needs to her consultant. She was looking for an all lace gown, white or off-white in color, a decent train, and some sort of sleeve. Kelly, her consultant, pulled several styles for Allegra, keeping her requests in mind, and throwing in a few other styles to reinforce her original requests. Allegra was pleasantly surprised to have loved a number of these gowns, but still reverted to a gown that almost matched her vision exactly; Allure Bridals’ Style #2800. This gorgeous s

Happy Mother's Day Wifey's!

One of the oh so many things I love about bridal shop happenings... the meaningful relationships. We meet a bride, she buys her wedding dress... the end, right? I sure hope not! Over the past 12 years in business, I have met some of the most amazing men and women who were once customers at some point in time.  They definitely bought more than "just a dress" or "just a service".  We make so many memories together, form a relationship and that relationship is so special!  No two customers are ever alike. You would think after 12 years it would get old.  Would it be the same day after day?  Year after year?  Same old stories, same old song and dance? Thankfully for me, it doesn't! Today's blog, I am thinking of all of our past brides who became a wifey after saying "I Do".  Perhaps the journey as a wife means you want to become a mom. Maybe you have decided you want a family with kiddos...  Maybe you are marrying into a family with children... Maybe y
