Grand Opening of Formal Wear Rentals

We had great sponsors, fantastic food (Dagar's Catering), enormous fun, door prizes you wouldn't believe, cold drinks, lively music (Music and Entertainment Events on Thursday & Complete Music on Saturday), fashion (Classy Concepts Design & Jim's Formal Wear), fun people (The Wedding Butler)... what more could you want in one room?

Okay... we know you want to see pictures! You can now see the wonderful photos of our Thursday night fashion show compliments of 563 Studio Photography
These are just a few, but you can click here for more photos:

Above are a few members of our team:

And now it is time for the ever famous "ribbon cutting" which we followed by a cake cutting! Wow, the cakes we had compliments of A Wedding Cake Moment on Thursday night and Sabrina's Sweets on Saturday were A-maze-ing!

I just like this picture because it makes me laugh.

We could all use a great haircut, but we had some amazing hair stylists and makeup artists there to get the models (and our staff!) ready for the show! Lucie Marie On Location (Saturday's Hair Stylist) and Joie De Vie Salon & Topaz Salon (Thursday's Stylists) & Classy Concepts Design (Saturday's Make Up) were ready to go! They were all on time and got everyone looking beautiful when we needed them.

We had an absolute blast with our grand opening, but most importantly, we had overwhelming support by all of the sponsors, volunteers and guest. I want to say thanks to special individuals that jumped in and helped make all of this happen. I appreciate you so much!

Aside from the sponsors mentioned above, there are a few more incredible companies that I would like to recognize:

Austin Party Central: Have you ever needed a great place for linens, tables and well... Everything? These guys are the best! Thank you guys for making it so organized for us to know what we were doing. :)

Petal Pushers: Man o man! Have you SEEN the flowers Stacey did for the show? Well, enough said. :) Her prices are incredible, but her service and ideas are BIG! Stacey, will you marry me?

XI Media Productions: Dusty was right on time... ready to go and pretty much rocked at capturing every moment of the show. I would completely use you again- thank you for everything!

Austin Affairs Event Planning: Amy & Meg were also models so I love them even more that they were willing to do what it took. What a great pair to work with... Amy & Meg, I appreciate all you did for the show!

Book My Travel for Less: Krysten and Rene gave away trip after trip at our opening and their company is so unique. Next time you need to book a flight, go to their site and compare!

Driftwood Vineyards: If you have not been out to this vineyard, you need to go today! They have such a great "Texas" style venue and they are so knowledgeable. The best wine too! Thank you for all your help!

Michelle's Patisserie: I have actually been out to Michelle's bakery and WOW was I impressed. She does it all and is SO creative with her artful pastry designs. I appreciate you!

Texas Investments, Realtors: Next time you need a professional to list or purchase a home with, contact Dianne or Shantel. They're a great team and really know real estate! You guys are awesome! Thank you!

Solar Halo Photography: Suezanne is a terrific lady to know. I have had a couple of bridal clients that have used her for their wedding and or bridal portraits and I was very impressed!

KK Bloom: Krystina is such an amazing designer. Her company offers graphics design and the most detailed invitations and products that you have to see! Thank you for your generosity and friendship!

The Chocolate Cup: Paul Russel is one cool guy! He shows up and has a full service coffee and drinks bar to die for. Our guests loved it because it was so unique. Thank you for bringing your beans!

Good Libations: Speaking of drinks... Tiffany and Brian were great to work with and kept our party going by serving all of our adult beverages!

Allegra: Feature Bride | Ava's Bridal Couture

A beautiful Catholic wedding with traditional Mexican flair best describes Allegra and Cesar’s wedding day. They said, “I Do” on May 28, 2016, and will forever cherish the memories made with their family and friends. Allegra had a vision for her wedding day, and it was our job to help her find a gown that would complement every other detail.  THE DRESS  After an unsuccessful bridal appointment at another shop, Allegra found herself at Ava’s. Feeling a bit discouraged, she explained her wants and needs to her consultant. She was looking for an all lace gown, white or off-white in color, a decent train, and some sort of sleeve. Kelly, her consultant, pulled several styles for Allegra, keeping her requests in mind, and throwing in a few other styles to reinforce her original requests. Allegra was pleasantly surprised to have loved a number of these gowns, but still reverted to a gown that almost matched her vision exactly; Allure Bridals’ Style #2800. This gorgeous s

Happy Mother's Day Wifey's!

One of the oh so many things I love about bridal shop happenings... the meaningful relationships. We meet a bride, she buys her wedding dress... the end, right? I sure hope not! Over the past 12 years in business, I have met some of the most amazing men and women who were once customers at some point in time.  They definitely bought more than "just a dress" or "just a service".  We make so many memories together, form a relationship and that relationship is so special!  No two customers are ever alike. You would think after 12 years it would get old.  Would it be the same day after day?  Year after year?  Same old stories, same old song and dance? Thankfully for me, it doesn't! Today's blog, I am thinking of all of our past brides who became a wifey after saying "I Do".  Perhaps the journey as a wife means you want to become a mom. Maybe you have decided you want a family with kiddos...  Maybe you are marrying into a family with children... Maybe y

New Building Under Construction Nearby!

You won't need to drive far from our current location on Debbie Lane to see us at our new building under construction! After 10 years making Debbie Lane our "home" for Say Yes to the Dress moments and memories, we reached a crossroads and made a big decision to merge the two locations while under construction.   How can we keep up with new generations and stay on the cutting edge for our two stores?   Our current lease at 1205 E Debbie Lane ended at the New Year of 2018.  We secured an awesome new property for our bridal business to focus more on customer experience, convenience and online shopping! Many of you have seen Ava's Bridal in Fort Worth grow this past year in our new building on Camp Bowie.  The space on Camp Bowie is nearly 3 times the square footage of our previous space.  This past year in our new building has been a dream come true.  We are so thankful for the response received from past, present and future customers and have grown our onl
