Kelly: Feature Bride | Ava's Bridal Couture

A small, intimate celebration with family calls for an extra special dress. Kelly and Dean started their journey as husband and wife on August 12, 2017 in Fort Worth with the loved ones they cherish the most. We enjoyed helping Kelly find the perfect gown that showcased her own style and personality, and it was perfect for the occasion.

THE DRESS
Kelly was looking for something simple, yet sophisticated for her wedding day. Being that this was her second wedding, she didn’t anticipate the experience, or the gown, would have been as wonderful as things turned out. Her mother set up an appointment for Kelly to browse. She tried on quite a few gowns with the help of our consultants, and ended up falling in love with Waters by Ava Claire.

This gown fit the description of simple by first glance, but had so much more to offer. “It was a simple gown that just zipped up in the back, but it looked like so much more because of all the attention to detail and added touches.”, she said.

Waters has a lace bodice that is accentuated with the same V-neckline in the front and back. The silky chiffon skirt created lots of movement and comfort for the bride. The sweep train and bow added a little something extra that gave this dress a more formal feel without the weight of a bustle. Kelly personalized her look with a beautiful crystal belt that cinched her waist in just the right way.

WEDDING DETAILS

Kelly and Dean wanted their wedding day to be family-centric. It was important to them that their love for each other, Kelly’s children, Nikki and Jackson, nephew, Cameron, take center stage. They said “I Do” at Number 1 Wedding Shop Ministry, an elegant elopement venue, that created the perfect ambiance for the tone of the wedding. Kelly’s mother, Cindy, served as her wedding planner. Knowing her daughter best, she proudly selected the gift bags, catering options, decorations, cake, and the honeymoon. Everything was perfect.

Kelly would like to give a special thanks to her parents, Cindy and Kevin, her wonderful husband, Dean, and Sue and Maddie from Ava’s Bridal Couture.

You won't need to drive far from our current location on Debbie Lane to see us at our new building under construction! After 10 years making Debbie Lane our "home" for Say Yes to the Dress moments and memories, we reached a crossroads and made a big decision to merge the two locations while under construction.   How can we keep up with new generations and stay on the cutting edge for our two stores?   Our current lease at 1205 E Debbie Lane ended at the New Year of 2018.  We secured an awesome new property for our bridal business to focus more on customer experience, convenience and online shopping! Many of you have seen Ava's Bridal in Fort Worth grow this past year in our new building on Camp Bowie.  The space on Camp Bowie is nearly 3 times the square footage of our previous space.  This past year in our new building has been a dream come true.  We are so thankful for the response received from past, present and future customers a...

A Beautiful Soul or Two ♡

Words are never enough to capture the essence of a beautiful soul!  We/I first fell in love with Robyn in 2015 when she was planning her daughter Brittany's wedding day. Brittany fell in love with a blush pink fit and flare beaded Maggie Sottero Wedding gown at Ava's Bridal in Fort Worth.    Brittany, a Pediatric Nurse and recent graduate from Texas A&M,   was marrying the love of her life Tillman in May of 2016. Each of our staff fought over who would help Brittany Arrott into her dress.  She was so magnetic and interesting that we never wanted our time with Brittany to end.  Brittany was amazingly beautiful on the outside (she was the portrait of health and wellness & an obvious athlete by her physical appearance) but her beauty from within shined even more brilliant. Brittany was fighting a rare brain cancer with dignity and poise.  I've never seen someone so unwell be so strong.  Robyn (Brittany's Mom) managed a...
