How can  you do something for your wedding planning today without getting in the car on these icy roads?  Forget trying to gather up your besties/mom in the scariness of other crazy drivers running into you... Why not walk to a pretty area in your neighborhood, a park nearby or somewhere close by and take an awesome Christmas photo or something you can cherish while the backdrop is white?  Even though this is NOT snow... LOL... it sure looks like snow!  It would make a beautiful engagement/Christmas picture!! Let's start this weekend off right with this special feature of a beautiful bride and groom! Congratulations to Madeline and Gerald Ewbanks who recently said I DO! Gerald's hometown is Mansfield, but the couple attended Texas Christian University and live in the Fort Worth area.  Madeline has become a dear friend to all of us in the bridal salon and were THRILLED to get to know her and her mom better through her sister Katherine who recommended CCBB when Madeline got engaged.  We were her first and only bridal salon to shop at as she found "The Dress" on the first appointment and didn't have the need to go elsewhere- we love that! She was SO happy in her dress and didn't want to take it off! During her fittings, Madeline got in the best shape through marathon training and looked her absolute BEST on her special day!!! We want to wish this very special bride a happy 1st Anniversary!  In wishing you another great year of wedded bliss, we would love to spotlight Razan and Erik's special day.  Enjoy the love story that continues after the dress.... Let's go down memory lane, shall we? :) Erik and Razan met over 9 years ago at a friend's parent's house.  They were there for different reasons, saw each other and were instantly attracted!  Erik asked to take her to see a movie and they were both hooked after that date!! (adorable) When planning their wedding, the happy couple decided on The Historic Anderson Building in Grand Prairie, TX.  "The venue is beautiful and established in 1915.  It has a great history, including being a nightclub in the roaring 1920's!" recalls Razan.  "It has a rich decor of wood grain and beautiful tapestry throughout, and the owner, Juan Dellepiane has maintained and restored it to a timeless quality.  We fell in love with it after seeing

We made some special memories with April during her gown selection and fittings- she was a doll to work with!  It was such a joy when we received her email with pictures of them on their wedding day! Don't you love the romance in her lace dress- so elegant on the bride!  We are so blessed to have ladies like April to ooogle over each work day.  We have the best job! Here is what April had to say in her note to us: "I know its been a few months, but i wanted to send you a coupe of pictures from the big day! Who doesn't love a sweet note from a Mother of the Bride and pictures of her beautiful daughter to make your day sweet?!  We got the nicest email from Sheila, Laurel's mom! "Our daughter Laurel's wedding dress was lovely. I thought you would want to enjoy some pictures from the wedding day, July 20, 2013. Laurel and Matt Poisson at Pilgrim Chapel, Dallas Baptist University Campus. She was a bea utiful bride and the day was wonderful. Her something blue was 3 blue glass buttons that belonged to her great grandmother, that I sewed inside her dress hours before her wedding (shown in the pic of she and I). Thank you for all your help in making this day one of our dreams." Good morning everyone!  Today is going to be a great day!!! (Already off to a great start just by opening our email this morning!)  ;)  We love Fridays because it means rehearsal dinner for some of our brides and wedding day over the weekend!  Exciting!! We had a visit from 2 of our past brides in the salon yesterday.    One who got married 2 years ago (Katie) and was returning for her bridesmaid dress with her 4 month old baby boy (Joey) and wedding album in tow!  (yay!) and the other bride (Bethany) who had to share her beautiful wedding pictures with us which of course made our day!!  They both were stunning and SO much fun to work with!!!  We love it when customers return to show us pictures and tell us all about their wedding day.  It's truly time well spent!!! Many of you have been to or heard of Ocone's Bridal in Fort Worth! Maybe your mom or a friend purchased their wedding gown from this well-established 30+ year bridal salon.  It's an amazing bridal salon with lots of history!  Located on Camp Bowie, Ocone's Bridal has been serving DFW Brides for generations.... literally! Classy Concepts is in the process of remodeling the space with a fresh new look our brides will enjoy!  A new store will be open in the former Ocone's space on August 1st under new ownership  with a new name, new look and we'd love for you to stay tuned for more details to come!

I had the opportunity to visit the lovely people at Maggie Sottero's flagship store and international office while the hubs and I were in Sydney, Australia.  It was such a pleasure getting to learn more about the brand, how it got started, talking with their General Manager- Kym, getting to know the owners, and seeing their flagship store in downtown Sydney. Did you know that Maggie Sottero has a flagship store called Abbey Bridal located in downtown Sydney?  They used to have several locations throughout other major cities in Australia, but after becoming well known in wholesaling other retailers, they focus on their only location in Sydney and stock their gowns with well-known, independent retailers in the area.  Leslie and Wayne (the owners) opened their store (Abbey Bridal) and soon after opening they began designing dresses for local brides that they would design and craft.  The demand for their designs grew and that later developed into the business it is now.  They are now

Photo by Shannon Stellmacher Photography We got to know Pamela Micks at the Bridal Boutique when she found her dress with us a year before her big day.  We knew she was a professional trainer and a fitness competitor from talking with her.  She told us her weight loss goal for the year and we watched her transform her body over the course of her engagement.  We were not only so impressed with Pamela on a personal level, but we have so much respect for her on a professional level.  She was a former Dallas Police Officer, Fitness Champion and recently married her best friend, Mark, and got into the BEST shape for her wedding.  She knows what brides go through in planning a wedding, losing track of time and then next thing you know... you are thinking about your arms, your back and wearing your honeymoon bikini. :-/ Eeek!
