We want to wish this very special bride a happy 1st Anniversary! In wishing you another great year of wedded bliss, we would love to spotlight Razan and Erik's special day. Enjoy the love story that continues after the dress.... Let's go down memory lane, shall we? :)
Erik and Razan met over 9 years ago at a friend's parent's house. They were there for different reasons, saw each other and were instantly attracted! Erik asked to take her to see a movie and they were both hooked after that date!! (adorable)
When planning their wedding, the happy couple decided on The Historic Anderson Building in Grand Prairie, TX. "The venue is beautiful and established in 1915. It has a great history, including being a nightclub in the roaring 1920's!" recalls Razan. "It has a rich decor of wood grain and beautiful tapestry throughout, and the owner, Juan Dellepiane has maintained and restored it to a timeless quality. We fell in love with it after seeing it featured in "The Knot" magazine. We knew it was the place for us!" (small shout out to Mr Dellepiane!)
The best memories of their wedding day include discovering their style and personalities together as the wedding plans came together. "It was so much fun looking through the magazines, online, as well as talking to vendors." She loved making special memories with Erik and having this bond with her amazing mom too. She was her #1 go-to person for everything wedding related, there every step of the way, and calming Razan when needed. (we got to know "Mom" very well and she even brought us food one visit to the salon. It was love at first bite for us!)
Being a Classy Concepts Bride, we had to ask her what her favorite memory is of her dress shopping experience. She says she had trouble narrowing it down to one, but finding her perfect dress was amazing and she was so glad to do it with Wilson, Sue, Loye, Viveca and all the others who helped her along the way. "They were the sweetest ladies, and made me feel so special and pretty all the time. The atmosphere of Classy Concepts really brings the reality and emotions home for a bride. When I slipped on my dress for my final fitting, and stook on the platform in front of the mirror, it was a deeply special moment. So memorable! This place is just perfect!" (awww, shucks! right back atcha, Razan!)
Erik and Razan's first dance was set to Alicia Keys "If I Ain't Got You" and you can see from their pictures- they really make the perfect match. After the big day, the couple set off to The Iberostar Grand Resort in Playa Paraiso in the Riviera Maya. "It was amazing, and the resort was top notch in every way imaginable!"
We are so happy for this amazing couple. They purchased a home in Mansfield and now they can come see us anytime they want to! They are settling in their careers and working hard to meet their goals together. "Everyone says your first year is the hardest, so we're just trying to stay grounded, praying together daily and seeking God in our marriage first and foremost!" We are so encouraged by that and appreciate the reminder to many of us to take such simple but important advice we can all carry into our daily relationships.
In closing, we want to include this special message Razan included: "Finding the love of your life and taking the next step in your relationship can take weeks, months or even years, but the most important thing to remember is that you have each other. All the stress and drama of planning a wedding can really overwhelm you and can interfere with the whole point of having a wedding... your love!"
Amen to that, Razan! We see brides every day that lose sight of this truth and we are always happy to see a bride prepare for the right reasons- to wow her groom and to have the best memories possible that will carry her through the ups and downs of building a life together. We hope all of you enjoyed getting to know Razan and Erik's love story. I know we sure did and we adore this couple... this bride... and this marriage. Congratulations on celebrating your marriage anniversary and cheers to many more!
xoxo, your friends at CCBB
