REAL QUINCE: JESSICA!

REAL QUINCE: Zach and I were so honored to be a part of Jessica's 15th birthday celebration! It was the first time that either of us had ever attended a traditional Quinceanera with a presentation and ball after dinner. It was so much fun and I not only learned a lot about this cultural celebration and the symbolism they value, we also had a blast with the Mounce family! They really know how to Baile! We took a break from the dance floor for a quick pic! They had an awesome Spanish band playing tunes till the wee hours. Zach wore his vintage dinner coats and I wore one of my favorite evening dresses that we carry in our store. Jessica (the Quince) wore a beautiful ballgown and Dalia (her Mom) wore a figure flattering 2 piece mother's dress from our new in-stock mother's styles: all can be found at Classy Concepts! (Except the sport coat- sorry guys. That's a vintage piece Zach's dad wore when he was a young lad and passed it on to Zach.) Mr...

Locks of Love

Today is a big day for me!  I have been growing my hair out for the past 2 years in preparation to be able to meet the minimum hair length to donate to a non-profit organization called "Locks of Love".  They have a fantastic website filled with pictures, answers to questions and information regarding donors and questions that might come along with becoming one.  I have some before and after pictures too - wanted to make it fun!  I am able to donate 15 inches!!! How cool... http://www.locksoflove.org/mission.html A few years ago, a good friend of mine grew out her hair to donate and I researched the organization and became a supporter.  I see this as something we all do anyway- (grow out our hair) so my hope is to share something new with someone (like my friend did) and inspire you to learn more and do what I did... give.  I read their mission statement and vision on the website and feel this is something that all of us can contribute a small part to...

Adding Color to your Bridal Attire:

A recent trend in bridal is colored accessories, the most popular accessory being the SHOE! We've seen brides with shoes in almost any color you can imagine from blue (or should I say "Somthing Blue") to red and everything in between. Here we have one of our brides who picked up he...r shoes this week modeling her color matched concoction that bring in a splash of color to incorporate her wedding color!

Cover Girl!

The Cutest Thing EVER!!!  Look who came to see me on her way to soccer practice today!?!?  Non other than... Dana Leigh!  She came in with her mom early in the year to have a pageant dress designed and created by Classy Concepts.  We had the BEST time working together and I am going to post pictures ASAP of her award winning dress- literally! ;)  She is just the most adorable girl you have ever met- she took home 8 (EIGHT!!!) trophies at the competition and she said "she made a lot of friends" at the show.  I am so proud of her and LOVE this picture of her in her "Cover Girl" Sash and her crown- on her way to soccer practice even!  Ha!  Love these moments when you get to be a part of a special occasion with the family and friends- yay for Dana Leigh!

Bride to Be: Kathy!

Bride-to-Be: Kathy is one of our favorite rays of sunshine! She is getting married this fall and we are SO excited about her wedding and super fun reception in the stockyards. She found "The dress" and accessories at our Bridal Boutique in Mansfield and we are now working on the invitations. I had to pick my fav two becuase I loved all of her pictures. Each one made me go: Ahhhh. I think both of these are so sweet and romantic! Love the red shoes!!!! We love you, Kathy and can't wait for the big day!! To the cutest family ever--- cheers! Here is another one of Kathy's engagement pictures- I love her outfits!

Towel Wrap & Robe Gifts! His and Her :)

Then there is the ever popular towel wrap- his and her! ;) We monogram "Bride" on the front corner which is what most people want - again, totally free with the purchase and customize the color/style of the embroidery. So cute and you don't have to put "Bride" on the towell wrap- you can put the person's initials, or Mrs. Smith or Wifey or whatever your towel wrapped heart desires! Order your spa robe or towel wrap by phone too and we will ship! We have a lot of customers that come into the store looking for the perfect gift that's useable, affordable and cute for their favorite bride/groom or the wedding party. We have 2 new gifts at both stores that are sure to be a hit. The first one is waffle robe. Its so soft and luxurious- best part the embroidered monogram is free and you can choose the color and font that best suites you!1

New Gown Arrivals!

New Gown Arrivals in the Window at the Mansfield location & We had our front window lettering completed! We offer Alterations, Custom gowns, Designer and Couture Gowns, Tuxedo & Dress Rentals (Not all stock is available for rental), Flower Girl Dresses, Mothers Dresses and more!

Real Bride: Holly!

Real Bride: Holly walked into our store and needed to find the perfect dress for her upcoming wedding. She has the best figure to dress becuase she looked amazing in EVERYTHING! She found "The Dress" And was so excited! We ordered it in the right size and then tailored the dress when it came in. It's Summer time so we are showcasing Holly's outdoor wedding. Her accessories are perfect! They stand out in her dark hair and Hollywood curls. This is a great way to get ideas on how to wear your hair down and not have your veil covering your curls. The veil is more understated, but it works wonderfully here. Holly's wedding gown starts with a true sweetheart neckline that softly falls into a slight aline skirt finished with a sweep train. The light-weight satin keeps the temperatures cool for the perfect outdoor venue wedding. Completing the look with a crystal head piece and crystal edge veil, Holly's bridal attire is perfect for the occasion.  We loved working...

Bride's Story: Neda & Rob

We got the sweetest note today from Neda who was recently married to her sweetheart, Rob.  They had a destination wedding and I just love sharing the pictures of our brides.  She looks so beautiful and happy and I love everything about their wedding day down to the seashell detail on their wedding cake.  Love the details!  Neda has a special place in my heart because we knew each other in Junior High before she moved away and now we were able to reconnect when she found me on face book, got engaged and then came in for an appointment to find her wedding gown.  I was thrilled that she found the perfect dress and accessories here becuase I was so honored to help her with the process.  It's always a joy to be a part of a person's special day, but when you have a history with them--- its even sweeter!  Here is a sweet note I got from Neda and some pictures to enjoy: Cheers to the happy couple! Thank you so much, Classy Concepts, for helping me to find ...

Model Lara Stone Changed Into A Short Dress For Her Wedding Reception—Would You?

The ever-gorgeous Lara Stone married comedian David Walliams in London over the weekend. While full-length photos of her custom-made, £30,000 Givenchy gown haven’t yet circulated, shots of her and new hubby David heading to the reception are all over the place, and Lara’s looking fly in a short gold Givenchy dress. Apparently the bride changed from the white wedding dress she wore during the ceremony into a party dress before making merry with guests like Tom Ford and fellow model Lily Donaldson. We love the idea of switching dresses; not only does it preserve your wedding dress from the rigorous obstacle course of wine, food, and hugs that is a wedding reception, but it also leaves you free to dance without tripping all over your train. Would you do this at your wedding ? Read More: http://www.thefrisky.com/post/246-would-you-change-into-a-short-dress-for-your-wedding-reception/

Happy Couple!

Janet and I have a special place in our heart for Misti!  She is Kim's older sister and Kim has been a close friend of mine for years.  I didn't get to see Misti much since she doesn't live in the area as Kim and I, but each time I we got together... we always had a blast together.  Misti has so many great ideas that she must have had a tough time narrowing down all the plans to choose what she did.  Some brides are so creative and the planning ideas come to them so easily!  Must be nice! ;) I am so happy for this couple and their family.  Being around Misti and Kim's family being able to not only help Misti and her mom Judy as the Mother of the Bride, but will also being doing the same in 2 weeks with Kim and Judy again.  Misti, thank you for sharing these wonderful photos.  I love that you put a special touch on everything for your wedding day which makes it so YOU.  This is what a wedding should be- an expression of the bride and groom...

Happy Easter Sunday!

Today was a special Easter Sunday!  My neice, Alexandra Elise, was baptised today and I am so honored to not only be her aunt but her Godmother and Zach is her Godfather. :)  We love both our neices so much and are always thrilled to spend time with them.  They grow so fast and crack me up with the things they do! Madeleine (our older neice) is talking up a storm and doing the best impersonations of a ham child!  She is such a hoot and I can't wait for her to have fun times with her baby sister too!  What a great weekend of wonderful memories.  Hope all of you had a GREAT Easter weekend as well!  In asking our customers "What are your plans for the holiday weekend?"... most of you responded with "Food and Family Time".  What a great combination!  I can't think of a better way of spending time than with those two things bringing it all together.  I remember my Saviour who died for the sins of the world and look forward to rememb...

MTV Came to our Mansfield store Thursday this week to film Brooke - a Mansfield High School age student who will be featured on the upcoming season of MTV's "Sixteen and Pregnant". It was cool to see them film for a reality TV Show and all that it involves. We were glad to be a part of Brooke's prom dress shopping experience and happy to help her find the ULTIMATE prom dress! The crew was awesome and we look forward to seeing her on the next season of MTV's show.

Walnut Creek Country Club Open House

Thank you to all who attended the Walnut Creek Country Club Open House! It was a gREAT event with such wonderful food and cocktails. My favorite was the mashed potato bar. So different and the oversized martini glasses made it fun! Here are some pictures we have from the event to share. Have a GREAT week!

Hooray for the Happy Couple!

Stephanie and Micheal were married this month and are glowing! We are SO HAPPY for these two as they are a great match. Stephanie is a friend of Sue's and it was such a blessing to work with her. She found the perfect cathedral length veil and accesories to match the champagne lace dress with amazing beading and detail! I love this dress on her for the feeling of romance, class and how it flatters her figure so beautifully! Isn't she lovely?!!! Congratulations to both of you for a happy and loving marriage! Many blessings to you both and to your family's exciting time! Best to you, The Classy Concepts Team!
